摘要

Abstract

East Dongting Lake wetland has great ecological function and economic and social values. It is essential to study the lowest ecological water level for Protecting and recovering the ecological system of the lake. Based on the hydrologic data from 1955-2011 at Chenglingji Station,the lowest ecological water level of East Dongting Lake is calculated by the lowest annual average water level method,the year guarantee setting method,the lake morPhology analytic aPProach and the ecological water level method. The calculation results are 24. 55 m,25. 44 m,26. 44 m and 25. 24 m,resPec-tively,and the average value 25. 42 m is considered as the lowest ecological water level of the lake. The corresPonding lake area is 518 km2 . It comPletely cover the core area of nature conservation are-a. By the rationality analysis,the water level is accePtable and Provides authentic and oPerational de-cisions for governments to restore the degraded lake ecosystem.
