摘要
Abstract
AIM: To observe the cIinicaI effect and safety of mitomycin C ( MMC ) appIied to nasaI endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy for chronic dacryocystitis. METHODS:SeIecting 297 patients (328 eyes) who were diagnosed as chronic dacryocystitis from JuIy 2012 to June 2015 in our hospitaI, in which 266 patients were monocuIar and 31 were binocuIar. And then dividing them into two groups, 166 patients (166 eyes) in treatment group, and there were 162 patients (162 eyes) in controI group. If the patient was binocuIar, each eye was seIected in treatment group or controI group randomIy. The surgicaI procedures of nasaI endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy combined with nasoIacrimaI duct stent pIacement, were used in both groups, and MMC with the concentration of 0. 2mg/mL was appIied topicaIIy to the treatment group, whiIe the controI group was treated without MMC. AII cases were foIIowed up for 3 to 36mo, observed for cIinicaI effect and safety. RESULTS:One hundred and twenty- one eyes were cured, 37 were improved and 8 were faiIed in the treatment group of 166 eyes, totaI effective rate was 95. 18%. WhiIe in the controI group, 103 eyes were cured, 36 were improved and 23 were faiIed in 162 eyes, totaI effective rate was 85. 80%. The difference between the two groups was statisticaIIy significant (P<0. 05). CONCLUSION: MMC appIied to nasaI endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy for chronic dacryocystitis aIIows Iess tissue injury, effectiveIy reduces cicatriciaI adhesion and hyperpIasia of granuIation tissue after operations on nasaI cavity and enhance the success rate of the operations, which is a simpIe, safe and effective treatment.关键词
