Abstract
Yarlung Tsangpo River is rich in water resources and hydropower resources, which is important to the development of Tibet and the South-to-North Water Division Project. The trend analysis and wavelet analysis were used to study the charac-teristics and variation of annual runoff of the river on the basis of the annual runoff series data of Yangcun and Nuxia Hydrological Station from 1970 to 2012. The results showed that the annual runoff is increasing, but the trend is not significant; no abrupt point exists in the annual runoff series. The research indicated that the water resources of Yarlung Tsangpo River is rich, and the incoming flow is stable and not obviously influenced by climate change, which could be used for the Western Route Project of South-to-North Water Division Project.关键词
