Abstract
The incidence of adenocarcinoma of esophagogas?tric junction (AEG) has been an alarming rise worldwide dur?ing recent decades. Due to the anatomic location of the tumor, there are still many controversies about surgical approaches, regional lymphadenectomy, extents of esophageal and gastric resection, efficacy of minimally invasive surgery, etc. Standard and individual therapy strategies, based on precisely pre-oper-ative classification and staging, should be selected cautiously according to the basic principles of radical surgery in malig-nant tumor. A multidisciplinary team will be essential for opti-mal diagno.sis and management in the near future.关键词
