Abstract
With the development of cochlear implant technology, preservation of residual hearing become a necessary concern. Some hearing-impaired patients lose some or even all of the residual hearing, but the other patients can preserve residual hearing. Thus, how to preserve residual hearing after cochlear implantation is worthy of discussion. This article introduces the concept of residual hearing, analyzes the impact of cochlear implantation on residual hearing and the significance of preservation of residual hearing and reviews the methods for hearing preservation and points out possible directions for relevant studies.关键词
