摘要

Abstract

Seaweeds are the largest flora in the ocean and their biomass provides a large renewable resource for chemical fiber industry .After being extracted from seaweeds , alginate can be made into a type of functional fiber material with excellent bioactivities through wet spinning process .It can combine with many metal ions to form fiber materials with high concentration of metal ions , enabling the fibers to have flame retardant and magnet-ic wave shielding properties .Needled and spunlaced nonwoven fabrics made from calcium alginate fibers can form soft gel through ion exchange when touching with body fluid .With high application value , it is suited for prepar-ing functional medical materials such as wound dressings , face masks, absorbent pads and so on .
