摘要

Abstract

In this paper,we propose a novel Potential Flow protocol(PF)based on potential flow theory to adapt to varied scale Wireless Sensor Networks(WSNs). Packets forwarding in sensor networks can be analogy to fluid ele⁃ments moving in fluid field,in which fluid elements flow from source-flow to sink-flow. By this analogy,in the fluid field,sink node is similar to the sink-flow and source node similar to the source-flow. Packets flow from sources to sinks under this potential flow. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the method used less energy in communications,had a higher network success rate,and it could prolong the lifecycle of the networks effectively.
