摘要

Abstract

MarkitMS5.1 earthquake occurred on July 9, 2014. Base on the records of Xinjiang Seismic Networks, we obtained the focal mechanism of this earthquake and the earthquakes of aboveMS 3.0 in the area from 2009 to 2014 with the “cut and paste” (CAP) method. Our result of theMS5.1 earthquake shows :the strike, dip and rake angles of nodal planeⅠ are 0°,80°and-169°; the other nodal plane is 268°,79°,-10°;The azimuth and dip angle are 224°and 15° for P axis; 314°and 1°for T axis; We comprehensive study considered the possibility of the rupture surface of the sectionⅡ through the seismic source mechanism solution and geological data. The earthquake s this region are most of the strike-slip. The regional structural stress ifeld is mainly characterized by the action of NS compressional stress ifeld, and the local torsion effect of the Tarim block and the South Tianshan Mountains.
