聚苯乙烯泡沫塑料具有密度低、吸水率低、耐酸碱、隔热隔音性好、防震等优点，被广泛用做机械设备、家用电器、精密仪器仪表、玻璃器皿的缓冲包装及快餐食品的包装。由于其体积大、重量轻、化学性质比较稳定，造成资源的浪费。该文着重研究在能源和资源面临短缺的今天，废弃聚苯乙烯泡沫塑料如何变废为宝，将其进行合理的再生利用，节约资源，实现减少环境污染。
