摘要
Abstract
Sterptococcus agalactiae ,also called group B Streptococcus ,is a worldwide-distributed Gram-positive bacterium.It is a major bacterial pathogen to humans,and also to fish.Recently,S .agalactiae has become one of the major causes of streptococcosis in fish.The clinical signs of fish infected with S . agalactiae include exophthalmia,distended abdomen,curvature of the spinal cord,bleeding at the base of the fins,etc.Due to its high morbidity and mortality,the disease caused by S .agalactiae leads to serious economic loss and threats the sound development of aquaculture.This paper overviewed the research pro-gress on the fish disease caused by S .agalactiae ,and introduced its pathogenesis,the methods of identifi-cation and the current development of vaccines against S .agalactiae from fish in order to provide refer-ences for the further investigation on S .agalactiae ,as well as the disease control and prevention in aqua-culture.关键词
