The Effects of Focus-Diffusion Trend in Attention Distribution on Repetition Blindness and Attentional Blink

Abstract
In order to discuss the impacts of focus‐diffusion trend in attention distribution on repetition blindness and attentional blink ,75 subjects are chosen to complete global/local processing and RSVP tasks .According to the score sorting of local interference in global/local processing task ,24 subjects are selected at the two ends of the score as the focused attention group and diffused attention group respectively .The results show that repetition blindness is negatively correlated with attentional blink for the focused attention group ,whereas there is no significant relationship between them for the diffused attention group .The focus‐diffusion trend of attention distribution has no significant effect on unrepeated T 2 ,but it has significant effect on repeated C2 .The accuracy of C2 for the focused attention is lower than it for the diffused attention group ,while the result of C1 is vice versa .It is indicated that the repetition blindness under lag2 condition is the further reduction of T2 accuracy on the basis of blink ,the production of repetition blindness occurs in the report stage .These findings are consistent with the competition hypothesis and the optimal allocation of attention resources hypothesis .关键词
