A Textual Research on Antithetical Words Denoting “Softness”and “Hardness”in Zhu Zi Yu-lei (朱子语类)

Abstract
The system of vocabulary is composed of individual words which are clustered together on the basis of meaning relationships. A lexical cluster denoting the same meaning is equivalent to a lexical field. There are many words and expressions found in Zhu Zi Yu-lei (朱子语类) , literally Classified conversations of Master Zhu, deno-ting the concepts of softness and hardness respectively. This paper presents an investigation into the network of lexi-cal clustering under which antithetical words denoting softness and hardness are subsumed.关键词
