Abstract

The control operation of yearly regulating reservoir⁃Longyangxia and annual regulating reservoir⁃Liujiaxia was regarded as the regulation mode by taking in account of the characters of the Yellow River upstream cascaded reservoirs, and Longyangxia, Liujiaxia, Bapanxia, Yanguoxia and Lanzhou City were taken as the research object. Combining with flood principles and scheduling chart, flood regulation routing of two typical years under different frequencies by the simulation model were calculated. Also, the flood control operation process of Longyangxia and Liujiaxia was simulated under the different frequencies. The results show that the safety of Liujiaxia downstream Bapanxia, Yanguoxia hydropower stations and the Lanzhou City are guaranteed in the conditions of the security of Longyangxia and Liujiaxia.
