Abstract

The application of geophysical and geochemical anomaly characteristics and the integrated study of the evaluation criteria in the Qinling gold and lead-zinc polymetallic ore district can play the role of mutual supplement and mutual verification. Based on geo-chemical anomaly characteristics and geological environment of the exploration area, the authors hold that the major ore-forming ele-ments are Au and Ag, with the existence of the polymetallic element superimposed anomalies of Au, Ag, As, Hg, Cu, Pb, Zn, W and Mo. The magnetism is relatively low, and the ore-bearing structural alteration zone has relatively high polarizability and low apparent re-sistivity. Nevertheless, in the geological section, the orebodies mostly exhibit high resistivity and highe polarization. Based on charac-teristics of ore-related and barren anomalies, the authors established geophysical and geochemical ore-prospecting criteria for the explo-ration area. It is proved that the integrated method can yield better ore-prospecting effects in the search for structural altered rock type gold deposits in Qinling region.
