Participatory Democracy:a Good Attempt to Ease Tension between Normative and Empirical Democ racy
摘要
Abstract
There is tension between normative and empirical democracy.Participatory democracy tries to compensate defects of empiri-cal democracy by reasserting normative value and public participation;unlike early normative democracy theory, participatory democra-cy also values empirical institution, trying to construct a participatory social to realize normative value of democracy.This attempt doesn't resolve the tension, but deliberative democracy inherits thoughts of participatory democracy, promoting normative and empirical de-mocracy to unify.关键词
