摘要

Abstract

DC transformer plays a significant role in DC distribution system, and it functions as changing voltage level and managing power flow between high and low DC voltage bus. The DC solid state transformer (DCSST) based on dual active bridge (DAB) with high frequency link is the most widely accepted solution of DC transformer. The DC voltage balancing characteristic of the series connected DABs was analyzed. Usually the auxiliary power supply for each DAB should be taken from the DC bus of the DAB. The effects of the auxiliary power supply on DC voltage balance were explored in particular. On the basis of the study, a minimum voltage tracking balance (MVTB) control strategy based on chopper resistor was proposed for balancing DC voltage under the standby state. Together with the auxiliary voltage balancing control loop method which is widely used on the running state, the DC voltages of series connected DABs can be effectively balanced at all possible operation states including the power up state, the standby state and the running state. The experimental results verified the proposed control strategy.
