Abstract
Ion-absorbed rare earth depositsin South China are our country’s unique mineral resources which are rich in medium and heavy rare earth elements. These ion-absorbed rare earth deposits have a unique characteristic in mineral deposit genesis, ore quality and the process of mining and concentrating. This paper argues that with the exploration development of ionic rare earth minerals, the exploration means, evaluation index,mining method, and beneifciation process in this regard have become mature gradually. In addition, as the requirements for ecological environment protection have constantly improved; the economic and technical indicators of such minerals are undergoing profound changes. As a result, the current “speciifcations for rare earth mineral exploration”has been unable to fully guide the exploration and evaluation work of ionic rare earth mineralin South China. Under these circumstances, suggestions for revising the current “speciifcations for rare earth mineral exploration” are proposed in this paper, the range of issues involving evaluation object,prospecting stage and means,core samples preserved, reserves calculation,plate type and properties, and the application condition of in-situ leaching process.关键词
