Abstract

Objective:The research through the case - control study,to discuss the relationship between sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome(SAHS) and blood pressure and fetal growth in late pregnancy.Method:One hundred and twenty-two pregnant women in Peking University Shenzhen Hospital from February 2013 to February 2014(over 36 weeks,Hawaii Snoring Scale≥2 scores) were enrolled.All women underwent an monitoring overnight sleep monitor in hospital for 8 hours and they were divided into the SAHS group(n=31) and the non-SAHS group(n=91) according to apnea hyponea index(AHI).The results of the maternal blood pressure(BP) and fetal intrauterine growth were taken from medical records.The birth weight and Apgar score were kept down after the deliveries.The data of blood pressure and fetal growth were compared between the women with and without SAHS.The relationship between SAHS and blood pressure and fetal growth in late pregnancy.Result:The MSpO2, LSpO2 of the SAHS group were significantly lower than the non-SAHS group,the AHI was significantly higher than the non-SAHS group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).The prenatal diastolic blood pressure of the SAHS group was (86.16±14.23)mm Hg,which was significantly higher than (80.08±13.19)mm Hg of the non-SAHS group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Every time AHI increased 10/h or pre-pregnancy BP increased 10 mm Hg or nocturnal mean blood oxygen saturation(MSpO2) decreased 3%,BP in the third trimester increased 6 mm Hg.Every time maternal weight gain increased 0.7 kg/m2 or BP in the third trimester decreased 10 mm Hg,birth weight increased 0.2 kg.The main risk factors of intrauterine growth retardation(IUGR) were BP in the third trimester[OR=1.276,95%CI(1.099,1.481)],maternal weight gain[OR=0.020,95%CI (0.002,0.181)] and AHI[OR=0.836,95%CI(0.710,0.984)].IUGR was non-related with SAHS[OR=0.780,&nbsp;95%CI(0.263,2.313),P>0.05].Conclusion:SAHS is related with higher value of DBP in the third trimester.BP in the third trimester is associated with pre-pregnancy BP,AHI and MSpO2,SAHS is non-related with IUGR.
