Modeling and Maximum Wind Energy Tracking of a Doubly-Fed Induction Generator with Stator Winding Inter-Turn Short Circuit

Abstract
As the common and internal fault of doubly-fed induction generator, inter-turn short circuit fault of stator windings directly affects the safe and stable operation of doubly-fed wind power generation system. Firstly, the mathematical model of a doubly fed induction generator taking into the consideration of stator winding inter-turn short circuit was built, and its simulation model based on the theory of multi-loop in MATLAB/Simulink environment was established. Then, the simulation module was connected to the infinite power system. Afterwards, it has been verified its correctness. In the condition of different degrees of stator winding inter-turn short circuit, when the wind speed changed, its ability to achieve maximum wind energy tracking by the dynamic operation of the fault motor was analyzed. Finally, the results showed that DFIG with the SWITSC fault couldn't achieve the maximum wind power tracking;with the deepening of the stator winding inter turn short circuit, the ability of DFIG with SWITSC to achieve the maximum wind energy tracking becomed weaker.关键词
