Abstract
Objective:To investigate the methods of syndrome differentiation and general situation of acupoint selection in acupuncture therapy for low back pain, in order to provide some ideas and methods for clinical treatment of low back pain. Methods:Related literatures at home and abroad in recent years were consulted, generalized, analyzed and summed up. Results:The diverse methods of syndrome differentiation in acupuncture thera-py for low back pain have achieved satisfactory curative effects in clinical treatment, which highlighted the superiority of TCM syndrome differentia-tion and treatment. Acupoint selection for low back pain showed a certain degree of regularity in ancient and modern literatures, but they had both similarities and differences. Conclusions: Specific methods of acupuncture therapy for low back pain should be determined according to patients' conditions and nature of low back pain to give full play to the advantages of syndrome differentiation and treatment of acupuncture therapy for low back pain. Acupoint selection can be studied by referring to ancient and modern literatures and summarized and developed in accordance with Chi-nese medicine theories and the development trend of modern researches.关键词
