Preparation of Fe-ce/ZSM-5 composite catalyst and its catalytic capability

Abstract
Fe-Ce/ZSM-5 composite catalyst was prepared via impregnation method and used for catalytic degradation of methyl orange(MO). The effects of solution pH,initial MO mass concentration,catalyst dosage,initial H2O2 concentration,and reaction temperature on pseudo-first-order kinetic constant were investigated by single factor experiment. Moreover,the stability of the catalyst as well as the mechanism of MO degradation were studied. The experimental results show that:Under the optimum conditions of solution pH 5.0,initial MO mass concentration 100 mg/L,catalyst dosage 1.0 g/L,initial H2O2 concentration 20 mmol/L,reaction temperature 30℃and reaction time 60 min,the kinetic constant reaches 0.034 min-1,the MO degradation rate reaches 87%and the iron ions loss amount is 0.019 mg/L only;After 3 times of reuse,the catalyst retains its high catalytic activity with more than 80%of MO degradation rate.关键词
