Study on the Translation of TV Commentary of Documentary from the Perspective of Semiotics---Taking Paradise Speaks across Time and Space as an Example

Abstract
Co-text has been a research focus in semiotics. It plays a critical role in text interpretation and sometimes and it e-ven outweighs the text itself. This paper adopts the co-text theory improved by Semiotician Zhao Yiheng to study the translation of the TV commentary of Paradise Speaks across Time and Space, a Chinese documentary, revealing the significance of para-text, archi-text, pre-text, meta-text, preceding/ensuing text and link-text in the process of translation.关键词
