Abstract
Objective:To assess the clinical value of the frozen section in the decision whether it was necessary for patients to have full surgical staging. Methods:Demographic and clinical data of 203 patients with endometrial carcinoma were retrospectively reviewed. These patients were diagnosed in the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University from Jan. 2013 to Jan. 2015. The comparative analysis was performed on the concordance rate of the grade,myometrial invasion and histological subtype between frozen section and paraffin pathology. Results:Con-cordance rates of the frozen section examination and postoperative evaluation in terms of grade, depth of myometrial invasion and histological subtype were 82 . 8%,90 . 1% and 93 . 5%. Only one of 203 patients had an insufficiency treatment because of the inconsistent of frozen section and paraffin pathology. Conclusions:In the above three parameters, there were high concord-ance rates in frozen section diagnosis,therefore,depending on the introperative frozen section to determine whether it is necessary for the endomentrial cancer patients to have full surgical stag-ing in some conditions has high clinical significance.关键词
