The Clinical Observation of Ranibizumab Intravitreous Injection Combination with Grid Laser Photocoagulation for Branch Retinal Vein Occlusion Macular Edema Secondary

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the effectiveness of combined therapy of intravitreal injection of Ranibizumab and macular grid laser photocoagulation for macular edema(ME) secondary to branch retinal vein occlusion(BRVO).Method:44 patients (44 eyes) of BRVO with ME were enrolled in this study. All the patients were examined for visual acuity, slit lamp microscope, direct opthalmoscope, intraocular pressure, fundus color photography, fundus fluorescein angiography(FFA) and optical coherence tomography(OCT). The patients were divided into two groups by different treatments: trial group(22 eyes) received intravitreal injection of Ranibizumab combined with grid laser photocoagulation, and control group (22 eyes) received laser photocoagulation only. The same equipment and methods were used to return visit in follow-up period. The visual acuity, macular retinal thickness(CRT) were followed up. The time of 6 months was considered as the judgment time for the therapeutic effects.Result:The difference of effective rate in visual acuity between the trial group (63.6%) and the control group(31.8%) was significant (P<0.05). CRT of the trial group and the control group decreased by (126.2±54.6), (60.7±21.6)μm after treatment, the differences had statistically significant (t=9.98, 11.00,P<0.05).Conclusion: In the treatment for macular edema secondary to BRVO, intravitreal injection of Ranibizumab combined with macular grid laser photocoagulation could improve visual function and relieve macular edema.关键词
