Abstract

According to mechanism of the ultrasound attenuation measurement in oil-water two-phase flow, the multiphysics coupling numerical simulation of the finite element method was used to build two-dimension geometric subdivision model of the measured field with the ultrasonic excitation. The ultrasonic sound pressure was calculated in oil-water two-phase flow field, and the laws between the ultrasonic attenuation with the phase fraction changing of the two phase flow were analyzed. In the distribution states of the core flow, stratified flow, and the uniform distribution flow in oil-in-water two-phase flow, the effects of different oil fraction on ultrasonic attenuation were numerically simulated and experimentally verified. The results show that different phase distributions and phase fractions have a great influence on the ultrasonic attenuation, and there are certain regularities between them.
