Dietary Tryptophan Affects Immunomodulatory in Livestock and Poultry
摘要
Abstract
As an essential amino acid, tryptophan has a function of regulation of immune response in animals. Metabolites of tryptophan including indoleamine 2, 3-dioxygenase ( IDO ) , kynurenine, quinolinic acid and melatonin, may improve immunity of the organism, induce anti-inflammatory response and prevent cancer. These metabolites play a role in inhibition of T lymphocyte proliferation, elevation of immunoglobulin levels in the blood and promotion of antigen-presenting organizations in tissues.This review summarized the effects and mechanism of tryptophan and its metabolites on immune functions in livestock and poultry.关键词
