Abstract

1,4-Diformyl-2,3,5,6-tetrahydroxypiperazine(DFTHP)was synthesized via condensation reaction using formamide and 40% glyoxal as raw materials.Then 4,10-dinitro-2,6,8,12-tetraoxa-4,10-diazatetracyclo [5.5.0.05,9 .03,11 ]-dodecane (TEX)was synthesized by nitration of DFTHP under the action of mixed acid composed of fuming nitric and concentrated sulfuric acid.Its structure was characterized by Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)spectrum and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR).The effect of volume ratio of fuming nitric acid and concentrated sulfuric acid,nitration temperature,nonionic surfactant types and amount on the yield and purity of TEX were studied.Results show that the optimal synthesis conditions are::volume ratio of fuming nitric acid and concentrated sulfuric acid,4:3;feeding temperature,45℃;nitration temperature,55℃;selecting PEG400 as catalyst and mass ratio of PEG400 and DFTHP,0.15:1.00.Under the optimal conditions,the yield and purity of TEX are 59.8% and 99.2%,respectively.
