Abstract
Development and construction of the southern islands of China have been undergoing for a long time. Faced with the climate conditions, namely, high temperature, high humidity, high salt, high radiation, the strong typhoon, the traditional dwellings of islands take on regional characteristics in view of low-tech strategy and adaptive design. In this paper, traditional dwel ings were classified according to construction technology at first. Then, the coping strategies of traditional dwel ings on islands are proposed to eliminate the adverse effects of climate, providing reference to planning and design of architectural design on islands.关键词
