Survey of health value,self care ability and related influencing factors of the elderly in pension institutions in Ur-ban Suburban Integration area

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the health value,self care ability and related influencing factors of the eld-erly in pension institutions in Urban Suburban Integration area.Methods:The cluster sampling method was used and a total of 280 elderly were selected in seven pension institutions in Urban Suburban Integration are-as in Xianning.They were investigated on their health value and self care ability.Results:The total score of health value was (7.45±1.45).Self care ability score was (100.25 ±22.56).There were statistically signifi-cant differences in health value score and self care ability score among the elderly with different ages,education levels,marital status and incomes.Self care ability was related to health value (r=0.521).Multivariate linear regression analysis showed that health value,marital status and age were predictor factors of self care ability. Conclusion:The higher the health value of the elderly in pension institutions in the Urban Suburban Integra-tion area had,the higher their self care ability was.“KAP”model could be used by improving their health val-ue to enhance self care ability.关键词
