摘要

Abstract

Mal-operation of the relay protection in mixed-voltage four-circuit transmission lines system caused by the strong-magnetic and weak-electric condition occurs from time to time, cross-voltage fault affects the safe and stable operation of the system. Fault analysis on this type of mixed-voltage four-circuit lines system with cross-voltage short-circuit fault is necessary to facilitate power system planning, equipment selection and relay setting. Zero-sequence equivalent network of unified two different voltage level transmission line systems mounted on the same tower level was proposed in this paper, and according to the similarities of boundary conditions when cross-voltage fault occurred in the two double-circuit lines, an improved composite sequence network unified the two systems can be obtained too. Based on that, calculations of the positive/negative/zero-sequence currents could be obtained. All the results can be used for relay protection based on the sequence components directly, and this method requires less calculation, has clear physical meaning and high value of engineering application. Simulated results in PSCAD/EMTDC and the calculated results with the algorithms above were compared. Accuracy of the algorithm is high.
