Study on Power Control of a Novel Hybrid Rectifier Applied to the Aviation Power Source

摘要

Abstract

A new hybrid rectifier was presented which is applied to the aircraft supply and a novel optimal power control strategy was proposed in this new rectifier. The new hybrid rectifier structured by a diode rectifier in parallel with a pulse width modulation (PWM) rectifier can limit harmonic current effectively. Different from the active power filter, the PWM part of the hybrid rectifier can bear the active power whose proportion can be controlled properly, so the rectifier can be utmost utilized. The control strategy based on double-current loop can allocate active power by proper proportion and get optimal operating point to produce the least apparent power on the PWM part. Also, the paper researched the relationship between the front-end inductor and the current harmonics. Moreover, power factor compensation strategy based on the current control can maintain high power factor. The simulation verifies the correctness of the strategy and the experiment results show the power allocation performance.
