Clinical analysis of aztreonam in the treatment of elderly patients with moderate and severe lower respiratory tract infections

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of aztreonam in the treatment of elderly patients with moderate and severe lower respiratory tract infections.Methods:120 elderly patients with moderate and severe lower respiratory tract infections were selected.They were randomly divided into the two groups on average.Patients in the observation group received the treatment of aztreonam,while patients in the control group were treated with cefotaxime sodium.We compared bacterial elimination rate, adverse reaction rate and pulmonary function improvement of the patients in the two groups.Results:The total effective rate and the elimination rate of bacteria in the observation group were higher than those of the control group;the adverse reaction rate was lower than that of the control group;the improvement of pulmonary function of PEF,FVC and FEV1 in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group;the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The clinical efficacy of aztreonam in the treatment of elderly patients with moderate and severe lower respiratory tract infections is significant.关键词
