摘要

Abstract

A survey is made to investigate the awareness and abilities of English learning strategies of applied university students with vocational school backgrounds of one of the applied universities in Jiangsu Province. It is found that applied university students with vocational school backgrounds are in lacking in English learning strategies, especially meta-cognitive strategies and social / affective strategies. English learning strategy training needs to be carried out. The results of English learning strategy training show that the short-term intensive strategy training for applied university students with vocational school backgrounds has a significant effect. Applied universities, vocational schools, related government departments should work together to take concrete and effective measures to improve the awareness and abilities of English learning strategies of applied university students with vocational school backgrounds.
