The expression and significance of RON receptor tyrosine kinase in chron-ic obstructive pulmonary disease patients

Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the role of receptor tyrosine kinase RON in the pathogenesis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD),we observed the expression and distribution of RON in the lung tissue of people suffering from COPD.Methods:The lung tissue samples were obtained from 20 COPD patients and 25 controls with operation because of lung cancer in North Sichuan Medi-cal College Affiliated Hospital from May 2013 to December 2013.The expression and distribution of RON protein in the lung tissue of each group was observed by immunohistochemistry.Results:The levels of RON protein in the bronchus region and alveolar region of the lung from the COPD patients were outstandingly higher than those of the control(P <0.05 ),and the expression of RON protein in COPD patients bronchus region was more than the alveolar region.Conclusion:The expression of RON protein in lung tissue of the pa-tients with COPD is stronger.The expression levels of RON protein in lung tissue of the COPD patients are related to the severity of air-flow limitation.关键词
