Transplanting Sonnet to the Chinese Language from the Perspective of Comparative Literature
摘要
Abstract
After nearly a hundred years of efforts, Chinese poets succeeded in transplanting sonnet to the Chinese language, which is a remarkable achievement in the cultural exchange between China and the West. From the per⁃spective of comparative literature, the transplantation of sonnet to the Chinese language has come as a revelation. When it comes to the transplantation, attention should be paid to the consistency of Chinese and foreign poetic styles, to the differences between Chinese and foreign poetic styles, and to the creativity in reference. The success⁃ful transplantation of sonnet by Chinese poets features a correct understanding and handling of the relationships be⁃tween“consistency”,“difference”and“creativity”in the process of transplantation. These are the three important issues in Chinese and Western cultural exchange (transplantation) and they are also three important perspectives in the case of comparative literature.关键词
