Abstract
Objective To provide basis for decision-making by analyzing follow-up results of 1 580 cases who failed in newborn hearing screening in Haidian District of Beijing .Methods Retrospective analysis was conducted on the follow-up results of 1 580 cases who failed in newborn hearing screening in Haidian District of Beijing from 2012 to 2014.Results Among the neonates born during October 1, 2012 to September 30, 2014 and doing physical examination in community health service center , 1 580 cases failed in newborn hearing screening in Haidian District.Of the failed cases 1 480 (93.67%) accepted secondary screening , and 230 (15.54%) cases failed again.There were 127 (55.22%) cases who failed in secondary screening accepted ABR examination , and 37 were confirmed with hearing loss , including 22 boys and 15 girls.No statistical significance was found in sex (χ2 =0.00,P=0.96).There were 24 neonates with city registration and 13 cases with other city registration , but the difference was not significant (χ2 =0.01,P=0.94).Conclusion Follow-up by community doctors is an effective method to follow up neonates failed in hearing screening .The diagnostic rate of hearing needs to be enhanced.It is suggested to expand education channels to improve the cognition of parents on hearing .A complete information system including hearing screening and diagnosis should be established to unify management on hearing data and realize resource sharing .关键词
