Current Status and Demographic Factors of Nurse ’s Nursing Soft Skills

Abstract
Objective To investigate and analyze the current status and demographic influencing factors of 345 nurse ’s nursing soft skills from Hunan Province. Methods An investigation was conducted with soft skills evaluation scale. Results The nurse’s nursing soft skills scores and the standard score were 169.15 ±16.38 and 76.88 respectively, which showed nurses were qualified in nursing soft skills. The highest score was the dimension of interpersonal skill and the lowest one cognitive skill. The scores of nursing soft skills of nurses with different demographic characteristics showed statistical significance ( P<0.05). Multiple regression analysis showed that professional title and executive position were significant predictors of nurse ’s nursing soft skills(P<0.05). Conclusion The nurses’ nursing soft skills remain in the passing level and should be further improved especially their self-management skills, and cognitive skills. We should further explore the influencing factors of nursing soft skills to develop a variety of training forms and improve nurses’ nursing soft skills so as to provide quality care services.关键词
