摘要
Abstract
Purpose/Significance] As an important kind of information resource, numerical database has special function and role in the information service of library and information institutions. [ Method/Process] Based on the examples of domestic and foreign relevant da-tabases, the characteristics, types and development of numerical database are discussed. Combining the construction practice of"metallur-gical cost database" in China, this paper expounds the construction significance, thinking and method of numerical database, and intro-duces the service function, service effect and development design of the database. [ Result/Conclusion] It is believed that the construction and service of numerical databases will become a very important development field for libraries orienting to knowledge service.关键词
