摘要
Abstract
Depressive symptoms and atherosclerosis are related.Research has found atherosclerosis can increase the risk for depression among elders and statins can reduce the depression degree and the risk for depression and improve the prognosis of patients with depression.The paper summarized the relation between depression and atherosclerosis in different groups of people and the mechanism of atherosclerosis′influence on depression. It was showed that atherosclerosis has influence on depression among elders, depressive patients, ordinary population and cerebral infarction patients.Therefore, lipid-lowering drugs can reduce the depression degree of the patients with depression accompanied by atherosclerosis.关键词
