Analysis of postoperative infection after spinal internal fixation and internal retention therapy

Abstract
Objective:To analyze the postoperative infection of patients with spinal internal fixation and to observe the clinical effect of internal retention therapy.Methods:35 cases of patients with postoperative infection treated with spinal internal fixation were as the observation group.35 cases of patients with non postoperative infection treated with spinal internal fixation were as the control group.The causes of infection and the clinical effect of internal retention therapy was analyzed.Results:Compared with the control group,the patients in the observation group was older,the operation time was significantly longer,and the amount of blood loss was significantly increased(P<0.05).The distribution of pathogens in 35 cases of patients with postoperative infection:16 cases with staphylococcus aureus (45.7%),10 cases with Klebsiella pneumoniae (28.6%),9 cases with Escherichia coli(25.7%). After treatment,the levels of C reactive protein,leucocyte and neutrophil in patients with infection were significantly lower than before treatment(P<0.05).Conclusion:The age,operation time and intraoperative blood loss were the common causes for postoperative infection.Internal retention therapy for postoperative infection after spinal internal fixation had good effect.关键词
