Optimization of Surface Mounted Permanent Magnet Moter Based on Halbach Array and Modular Poles

Abstract
In order to reduce the performance degradation caused by high harmonic content in air gap magnetic field, a novel surface mounted permanent magnet rotor with modular poles and Halbach array was proposed, taking the THD of the air gap magnetic flux density and its magnitude as the evaluation index. Based on the time stepping finite element analysis and Taguchi method, the structure parameters of the rotor were optimized. The optimization parameters included permanent magnet thickness, modular pole ratio, Halbach magnetizing angle, and the coercivity of magnetic material. The advantage of the optimization method was verified by comparing the harmonic content of the air gap flux density before and after optimization.关键词
