The Effect of AR Attack Reduced by Acupuncture Combined with Herbs Based on Winter Diseases Cured in Summer

Abstract
Objective:To observe the effect of allergic rhinitis (AR) attack reduced by acupuncture combined with herbs that obeys the theory of win-ter diseases cured in summer. Methods:125 cases of AR patients were randomly divided into observation group (65 cases) and control group (60 cas-es), on the basis of conventional antihistamine and steroids medication, the observation group treated by warm needling combined with orally taking herbs, which was the continuous treatment for 7 days from the first day of each Fu (the Chufu, Erfu, Sanfu in hot summer every year according to the lunar calendar), totally 21 days and for 2 years;the control group didn't accept this treatment in the dog days. And observed the attack times and medi-cation times of two groups. Results:In the first and second year of treatment, the attack times and annual average medication times were both signifi-cantly less than those of control group (P<0.01). Conclusion:Acupuncture combined with herbs obeyed the theory of winter diseases cured in sum-mer has positive effects on reducing the attack times of AR.关键词
