摘要

Abstract

MicroRNAs ( miRNA) , a kind of non-coding small RNA, extensively exists in a variety of organ-isms.MiRNA is able to participate in almost all life events through regulating expression of various target genes.Growth and development of muscle in animals is a complex process, which is controlled by numerous regulatory factors.This review summarized the expression patterns and regulation mechanisms of miRNA, es-pecially several muscle-specific miRNA, in the growth and development of muscle in animals.
