Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of comprehensive nursing intervention on elderly patients with ventilator associated pneumonia in ICU.Methods 100 elderly patients with ventilator associated pneumonia in ICU were randomly divided into two groups.Group A received routine care,while group B received comprehensive nursing intervention.Compared the incidence of VAP and clinical efficacy of two groups.Results The incidence and mortality in group A were significantly higher than those in group B (46.0％ vs.14.0％,22.0％ vs.4.0％),with statistically significant differences (P＜0.05).The duration of mechanical ventilation,length of stay,and the cost of hospitalization in group A were significantly higher than those in group B [(17.13±0.87)d vs.(8.23±0.67)d,(21.25±8.52)d vs.(11.22±8.12)d,(3.67±0.67)× 1 0000 yuan vs.(2.32±0.37)×10000 yuan],with statistically significant differences (P＜0.05).Conclusion Comprehensive nursing intervention has significant effect in elderly patients with ventilator associated pneumonia in ICU,which can effectively reduce the incidence of VAP and mortality,mechanical ventilation time and length of hospital stay,ease the economic burden of patients,worthy of promotion in major hospitals.关键词
