“Offshore Balancer” and“the Anchor of the Far East”---On the United States ’ Policy of Return to the Asia-Pacific Region
摘要
Abstract
The American foreign policy has been influenced by the realist school .The so-called policy of return to the Asia-Pacific region is to play the role of “offshore balancer”.Zbigniew Brzezinski proposed , in his The Grand Chessboard , to let China become“the Anchor of the Far East”, which is the core of American Asia-Pacific policy and also the main goal of the so-called Asia-Pacific re-balancing policy .How rising China responds to the US ’ s hard-line stance on the East China Sea and the South China Sea issues is re-lated to the security and stability of the Asia-Pacific region and the world .关键词
