The Relationships among Local College Students’Social Boredom, Life Meaning and Suicidal Ideation

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the relationships among local college students'social boredom ,life meaning and suicidal ideation .Methods:“The boring tendency scale” ,“the meaning of life scale”and“questionnaire of suicidal ide‐ation”were used to investigate 646 college undergraduates .Results:①College students'boredom did not exist signifi‐cant differences in several aspects ,such as sex ,studying areas ,grades ,only child or not acts ;② Students'boredom proneness and the meaning of life were significantly negatively related(r=‐0 3.36 ,P<0 0.01) ,college students’bore‐dom tendency and suicidal ideation had a significantly positive correlation(r=0 3.82 ,P<0 0.01);③The success ,hap‐piness ,faith and relationship which were included in the sense of life meaning had significantly negatively predicted to students'boredom tendency (R2 =‐0 1.36 ,P<0 0.01 ;R2 =‐0 1.65 ,P<0 0.01;R2 =‐0 1.79 ,P<0 0.1;R2 =‐0 1.87 ,P<0 0.5) ,Students'boredom tendency had significantly negatively predicted to suicidal ideation (R2 = 0 .146 ,P<0 0.01);④Students'boredom tendency had a significant mediating effect between the sense of life meaning and suicid‐al ideation .Conclusion:The higher of sense of life meaning ,the lower of college students’ boredom and suicidal idea‐tion .关键词
