Treatment of colorectal cancer in ancient Chinese medicine
摘要
Abstract
The knowledge of colorectal cancer is obtained from the clinical practices and theoretical explorations of the generations of TCM physicians. Therefore,the description of disease name symptoms has been more accurate and meanwhile,the understanding of etiology and pathogenesis,from six external pathogenic factors to the healthy energy deficiency,pathogenic factors excess,internal injury th“at is upon improper diet and liver qi stagnation that is due to emotional distress,which could lead to an attack of the illness because of accumulation of damp,hot,toxin and stasis resulting in the intestinal dysfunction,has been more objective and comprehensive. Generations of physicians should attach importance to the overall situation and people oriented principle,and in the treatment,they should care the healthy energy all the time,treat by stages whilst combine tonification and purgation together. Moreover,physicians should take different therapies in the different developmental stages of the disease,and focus on softening and resolving hard mass,activating qi and eliminating phlegm and removing blood stasis on the basis of strengthening healthy energy while restoring deficiency. However,except the internal therapies,the ancient TCM physicians used to employ fumiga-tion and washing,clysis,external rub,applying mixed,acupuncture and operations to treat colorectal cancer.关键词
