摘要

Abstract

Part of the images collected in actual application has low contrast degree and blurry edge details.Aiming at this problem,we proposed an image enhancement algorithm which combines the NSCT-based multiscale Retinex algorithm with nonlinear gain function.It uses the improved multiscale Retinex algorithm to process the low-frequency sub-band coefficients so as to improve the dynamic range of image greyscale and to meliorate the brightness uniformity of image.The method of nonlinear gain function and Bayesian shrinkage threshold combi-nation is adopted to process the coefficients of each high-frequency sub-band,which suppresses image noise while enhancing image texture de-tails.Experimental result showed that the algorithm could effectively enhance the contrast degree and definition of the image,boost up image details information,these led to noticeable improvement in visual quality.
