Abstract
Heavy-haul railway with large tractive tonnage and big axle load serves to carry bulk cargo and its target speed differs that of conventional freight railway. This paper conducts the calculation and comparison of 80, 100 and 120 km/h target speed respectively in terms of traffic organization, subgrade, bridge, track and power supply, and analysis is made based on operation practices at home and abroad. The results show that different target speeds pose little impact on the track, subgrade, bridge and power supply, but locomotive traction and braking can be hardly fulfilled when speed exceeds 100 km/h. Thus, the running speed of heavy haul train is expected to be 100 km/h and less.关键词
