A New Bearing Structure of Large Storage Tanks with A Reticulated Shell Dome and its Optimization

Abstract
In order to satisfy the security demand of the connection between the reticulated shell dome and the tank shell,a new simple and stressing definitely bearing structure for large storage tanks with a reticula-ted shell dome is proposed based on existing connecting structure.The ANSYS is chosen for the analysis,the Finite Element model of large storage tanks with a reticulated shell dome is set up and the performance of large storage tanks between new bearing structures and directly welded structures in aspects of strength, stiffness and whole stability is analyzed and compared.Applying optimization toolbox of ANSYS Work-bench,main dimensions of the new bearing structure are optimized and designed.Research results show that compared with directly welded structures,the new bearing structure can reduce the adverse stress in reticu-lated shell dome,improve the stress distribution of the connection by the rotation among components,which indicates that the new bearing structure is suitable for large storage tanks with a reticulated shell dome;the economy and lightweight of the new bearing structure can also be improved by the optimization.关键词
